If screwing and gluing are not an option for fastening a polyurethane lining, we at habermann materials can also adapt to classic methods known from steel construction. A common practice is the welding process, which can also be transferred to our polyurethane products.
For this we have developed special inserts that we cast in our sheets. The part of the metal required for welding remains exposed, so that you can attach it with just a few necessary welding points. In order to close the welding spots after the connection has been completed, our system includes fitting PU plugs that are hammered in and are held in place by a tongue and groove system. This results in a flat surface.
As a rough guideline, 12 welding points per m² should be defined for a good hold. However, both the number and the position can be determined individually. We offer you the weld-on sheet based on your drawings or in our standard size 1000x1000x15 or 25 mm.
The lined component remains undrilled and even in wet applications there is no fear of leakage due to non-intact screw connections. Application examples can be found in numerous applications and industries, such as in mineral processing and conveyor technology or even in stationary drum mixers.
